Staying inside the Old Town puts the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation minutes away on foot; modern beachfront hotels (like the Hyatt Regency) just outside the walls suit those who prefer more comfort.

Sunset is the ideal moment — listen to the Sea Organ, then sit to watch the Sun Salutation gradually light up, in what Hitchcock famously called 'the most beautiful sunset in the world.'
📍 On the ground
Getting around: Zadar's Old Town is small and fully walkable within an hour. The local Liburnija bus reaches the outer neighborhoods for ~€1.6 a ticket. The airport is ~12km out: the very cheap official bus (~€5) drops only at the main station, needing a further taxi to your hotel or the ferry port; a direct taxi/Bolt is faster (~€20–25).
Halal & prayer places: Frankly thin — no known declared halal restaurants, and no currently functioning mosque in the city despite a historic Ottoman-era mosque in the Old Town (Skročini 27a) that no longer practically serves visitors. Grilled vegetables, fish and vegetarian dishes are almost the only safe default.
