Some colleges restrict visiting hours during exams and university events, so check each college's website the morning of your visit. For punting, go early morning or just before sunset to skip queues; chauffeured punts are available if you'd rather not pole yourself. The city is fully walkable; bikes are the locals' preferred transport but require confidence in traffic. The combined Harry Potter ticket (Christ Church + New College + Bodleian tour) saves time and is worth booking ahead.

Getting around: Trains from London (Paddington or Marylebone) reach Oxford in 44-60 minutes; booking ahead is far cheaper than buying on the day.
