Getting around: Buses/marshrutkas run from Baku's international terminal (4–5 hours, cheap); a private car or shared taxi is a faster alternative. There's no regular passenger rail currently. Within Lankaran: the center is walkable, and local minibuses reach Hirkan National Park and the surrounding tea estates.
Halal & prayer places: Halal by default like the rest of Azerbaijan, with a distinct local flavor (rice, Caspian fish, and fresh citrus). There's no 'international' halal scene — just simple, family-run local restaurants. Lankaran's historic mosque and fortress downtown are notable landmarks.
