⚠️Tips & warnings
Important for safety: Goris town and the Tatev/Khndzoresk route are entirely safe and firmly on the standard tourist circuit, but venturing further south/east in Syunik toward Kapan and the Azerbaijani border calls for official caution — stick to marked tourist routes and don't approach the border without a local guide.

Getting around: About 3.5-4 hours from Yerevan via the Vorotan Pass. The Wings of Tatev cable car (the world's longest of its kind) departs from nearby Halidzor.
Halal & prayer places: Rare — a small southern town, simple local Armenian meals (grills usually pork-free) but without formal certification.
