From Suvarnabhumi: the Airport Rail Link to town (~USD 1.5, 30 min) or metered taxis from the ground floor (~USD 10 + fees). SIM in arrivals (AIS). Download Grab and get a Rabbit card for the BTS.

🗓️Best time to visit

November–February is coolest and best; April is hottest, monsoon runs May–October.

📸Top activities & landmarks

  • Grand Palace, Wat Arun and Wat Pho
  • Chatuchak and the floating markets
  • Thonburi canal boat tour
  • IconSiam and Siam Paragon shopping
  • Safari World and Sea Life for families

🏨Where to stay

Sukhumvit (Nana/Asok) is the Arab-dining hub; Riverside for luxury river views; Siam for shopping.

⚠️Tips & warnings

Use BTS/MRT and river boats over traffic-bound taxis. Modest dress is required at the palace and temples; parts of Nana aren't family-friendly at night.

📍 On the ground

Getting around: The BTS Skytrain and MRT are the only real escape from traffic — a Rabbit card covers BTS. River express boats are genuine transport, not just a tour. Grab for rides; tuk-tuks for the experience (price agreed upfront).

🏨 Where do Gulf travelers stay?:
