⚠️Tips & warnings
Don't display your phone or jewellery on the crowded metro or in tourist plazas — quick grab-and-run theft ("lanza") is real and documented. Use an app-hailed taxi, not one flagged from the street.

Getting around: An extensive, clean metro (bip! card) covers most of the city, with taxis and Uber easily available. The international airport (SCL) is 20 minutes from the centre.
Halal & prayer places: The country's highest, but objectively limited — a handful of declared restaurants near the Islamic centre and the La Reina mosque; this is the ceiling for all of Chile.
