🗓️Best time to visit

January–April and October–November (shorter lines); summer is hot-humid with daily storms, US holidays mean max crowds.

📸Top activities & landmarks

  • Magic Kingdom and the fireworks
  • Epcot and Hollywood Studios (Rise of the Resistance)
  • Universal and Harry Potter (ride the train between lands)
  • Free-entry Disney Springs evenings
  • The famous outlet malls

🏨Where to stay

Disney hotels for full immersion and free transport; I-Drive aparthotels save real money for big families.

⚠️Tips & warnings

Tickets and planning are a science: the park apps plus morning Lightning Lane bookings save hours of queueing. Budget USD 150–200 per person daily for tickets alone. Even inside Disney, distances demand its buses — schedule a mid-trip rest day.

📍 On the ground

Getting around: Near-total reliance on a car or rideshare — the parks, International Drive, and Downtown are miles apart. LYNX buses and the new Link 311 route (since April 2024, $2/ride) connect MCO airport to I-Drive, Disney Springs, and Universal Blvd — a genuine budget option, though most visitors still need a car or rideshare. The Mears Connect shuttle to Disney-area hotels runs ~$16–18/adult one-way. Uber/Lyft from the airport to Disney/Universal run ~$40–50.

Halal & prayer places: Modest, not a major hub. A handful of halal spots sit directly on International Drive (Halal Food Express, One Lounge, ShouFi MahFi, Taj Mahal). More options exist a bit further out (Dr. Phillips, Winter Park) requiring a car. The Islamic Society of Central Florida and Islamic Center of Orlando serve the area but are in residential zones, not walkable from the parks.
