Drive cautiously through cool days — roads are narrow and the views genuinely distracting; stop at designated viewpoints, not on the road.

Getting around: Fly to Harstad/Narvik then drive, or direct to Svolvær. A car is essential to move between villages scattered along the coastal E10.
Halal & prayer places: Near-none — very small fishing villages; fish (especially dried cod) and vegetarian only.
