Getting around: Two hours from Paro over Chele La Pass (3,988m) — a special permit is required given the valley's border proximity, arranged in advance by the licensed operator.
Halal & prayer places: Not declared at all — among the least foreign-visited areas of Bhutan to begin with.

Cost figures: 2026 prices: no entry fee for the valley itself, a traditional homestay $15–25/night on top of the SDF.
