Honestly: Frankfurt is a business city — one or two days cover it fully; use it as a base for Heidelberg and Rhine villages. Halal is well covered around the station and Zeil.
📍 On the ground
Getting around: A direct S-Bahn train runs from Frankfurt Airport to the Hauptbahnhof in about 13 minutes (just 4 stops) on a single RMV ticket costing €6.90, which also covers onward tram, bus, or U-Bahn travel to your final destination — one of the easiest airport transfers in Europe. The city center itself is compact and mostly walkable.
Halal & prayer places: Zabihah lists 43 verified halal restaurants and 10 mosques/prayer spaces in Frankfurt. The Bahnhofsviertel (around the main station) and Zeil street hold the biggest cluster — Turkish and Middle Eastern restaurants with a mosque many visitors note is within walking distance of the station. The scene is smaller than Berlin's but sufficient for a one- or two-day stay.
Local safety: The Bahnhofsviertel around the main station (especially Taunusstraße and Elbestraße) has an open drug scene and a red-light district; it is fine by day but uncomfortable at night — best avoided after dark, with Westend or riverside Sachsenhausen more comfortable areas to stay.
