Getting around: Metered tuk-tuks via PickMe are the city's bloodstream (~$1 short hops), with Uber available too. Galle Face Green and the Fort walk nicely at dusk. The airport sits north by Negombo (~45–60 min).
Halal & prayer places: High — Kotahena and Bambalapitiya brim with halal restaurants, the Red Mosque sits ringed by biryani houses, and even the malls label their halal options.
