Getting around: ~40 minutes north of Beirut. Service taxi from Charles Helou or Uber (~$15–20). Old town, castle and harbour are all walkable once there.
Halal & prayer places: A mixed, touristy town — harbour fish restaurants usually serve halal-slaughtered fish and meat but alcohol is present; ask, and the old souk has surer options.
