Date auctions start right after dawn prayer — sleep in and you miss the whole show. Outside date season, honestly, the tourist list shrinks to a quiet day or two.

Getting around: Rent at Qassim airport — the twin cities and farms are pure car network; apps work only in town. The SAR train links Qassim to Riyadh and Hail.
🏨 Where do Gulf travelers stay?: Central Buraidah/King Abdulaziz road: hotels and services. Al-I'lam: beside Date City. Unaizah (30 min): heritage guesthouses around Al-Musokaf — the warmest-character stay.
