Furnished apartments and seasonal villas are the norm — book very early for the season; nearby Broummana's hotels are the more polished alternative.
⚠️Tips & warnings
Season prices jump with Gulf demand — shifting a week off the August peak saves a lot. Evenings need a light jacket even in July.
📍 On the ground
Getting around: Just ~17 km east of Beirut on the old Damascus road (20–30 minutes). Constant service taxis from Beirut; having a car opens Broummana, Bhamdoun and Sofar on the same ridge.
Halal & prayer places: High — the resort was historically built around Gulf and Arab guests: plenty of halal restaurants and family cafés, alongside a coexisting Christian and Druze fabric.

Cost figures: 2026 prices: family dinner with a view $15–30 pp, seasonal apartments $80–200/night, clearly cheaper outside July–August.
